Decompression

As I spent the weekend relaxing watching the snow fall out the window, I came to realize how much I appreciate a lazy day.  Usually days are spent chasing a career, keeping up with kids school, sports and extra curricular activities, and trying to make time for family and friends, life can get hectic.  We all need time to stop, slow down and relax.

We each have to find our own way to decompress, whether it be throwing some paint on a canvas, taking pictures, crocheting a ball of yarn into a blanket, or writing random incoherent thoughts on a blog.  I have tried many methods to de-stress over the years, some of my favorite include spending time in nature, painting, and wood working.

I had actually planned to go birding over the weekend, unfortunately we had a freak snow storm so I spent the days blogging and watching the birds at the feeder out the window.  Now that I’ve tried blogging, I have to say that I quite enjoy it.  It is a good way to relax and escape the chaos.
