Spring Wildflowers in Eastern New Mexico

Spring time in Eastern New Mexico can be a beautiful thing. When we are blessed with rain at the right times, the short grass prairie comes alive with a multitude of colors. Fortunately, this year is one of those years where the moisture came and the show that nature is putting on is spectacular.

From asters to yucca plants, there is an abundance of wildflowers blooming along Highway 104 between Conchas and Tucumcari. The show only lasts a little while, so get out and enjoy it while you can.
